Dobies and Little Paws Rescue

The other half of the Artemis/Ares duo…this is Artemis. She’s a girl who loves her snuggle time and will be your constant companion. She joins our handyman during every break time to soak up as much love as possible. She’s doing well with other dogs and the ouchies on her head are healing from the altercations she had with Ares previously. Artemis is probably around 6 or 7 years old but she’s in great shape and she would love a home that will appreciate her devoted spirit. She isn’t food aggressive but she is a little grabby with food so we think young kids aren’t the best match for her but she’s very sweet could otherwise fit into a myriad of different homes.

Ares is a handsome boy who landed at the shelter with a female named Artemis. They were said to be a pair but we had to separate them for their own good. Ares was drastically underweight and quite literally, starving. Despite being a better weight, Artemis also inhales food like a starving dog so there were squabbles when they were fed together previously (who can blame them). Upon arrival we separated them so Ares could get healthy without competition and Artemis has made new friends. They have both made noticeable improvements in only one week. Ares is probably about 7 years old but once he gains some additional lbs he will be a stunning and strong boy. He has been wonderful with people, easy to handle and anxious for adventure. We hope to see his behavior around other dogs once he’s decompressed a little more and doesn’t feel the need to be defensive. We got you buddy. 💕

Uno is a sweet boy who loves people and will happily be your best friend. His only downside really is that same love doesn’t necessarily translate to other dogs. Even though Uno was reportedly good around other dogs while at the animal shelter, we haven’t had that same experience. He has calmed down a lot since his arrival and he’s much better behaved on leash around other dogs but we can only recommend him as an only dog for now. He does love to play and happily throws his toy around, keeping himself entertained all on his own. He’s about 2-3 years old, ready for adventure and ready to be your new family member.
