FIELD DAY 2026: WE CAME. WE SWEATED. WE YELLED A LOT. ☀️🎉😂

Today my little besties spent approximately 3 straight hours running around outside fueled by excitement, popsicles, teamwork, and pure kindergarten energy.

We played games. We raced. We screamed support at our teammates like tiny sports commentators. We dumped water everywhere except where it was supposed to go. Someone probably still has grass in their shoes. I definitely have sunscreen in my eyeballs.

The vibes today were:☀️ sunshine-filled💦 splashy🏃‍♀️ absolutely unhinged🎉 top-tier kindergarten chaos

One of the sweetest parts of the day was seeing my kinders SO excited that two of our amazing helpers from Donnell Middle School were actually students in my kindergarten class years ago. Watching former students come back to help, encourage, and have fun with this new group of little learners was such a full-circle moment. 💛

These kids laughed ALL. DAY. LONG. and honestly there is something so magical about watching childhood happen in real time… little faces glowing, giant smiles, cheering each other on, and making core memories together.

We are exhausted in the best possible way and there is a 97% chance at least half this class falls asleep before dinner tonight.

I purged my book tubs and everyone was able to grab 4 books for home! No need to send them back. 📚 🧠 Enjoy!!

✨ Reward days just hit different. ✨

Today was our movie day for positive behavior, and these kiddos were all smiles as they enjoyed popcorn, snuggled up with friends, and celebrated all their hard work. 🍿🎬

But the learning didn’t stop there…

We dove into the fascinating world of Jellyfish, did some research, and then brought our learning to life with a directed drawing of our very own jellyfish creations.

A little celebrating, a little learning, and a whole lot of kindergarten joy. 💙
