I don’t post much about the businesses around us and most who know me know I prefer to keep my head down, show up when I can, and work quietly supporting small business however we can. But today I met another local business owner who deserves some noise.

Janet’s Chili Dogs isn’t just a hot dog stand. Paul has a “pay it forward” happening that helps someone in our community get a meal every single day. No spotlight, no fanfare. Just neighbors helping neighbors because that’s what this city does best.

This kind of thing matters - A LOT.

Programs like this don’t just feed someone for a moment, they create a chain reaction. One small act turns into another. A meal turns into hope. Hope turns into unity. Before you know it, a simple hot dog stand becomes a place where our community shows up for itself.

If you’re coming down Water St, stop by Janet’s Chili Dogs. Grab a bite (honorable mention that the chili dog today SMACKED my taste buds around).
