Is the 'Open Concept' officially over? 🛋️🚫

In 2026, we’re seeing a big shift in what local families in Philly and Mercer County are looking for. The 'one big room' trend is taking a backseat to dedicated spaces.

What’s topping the wish list now?

🧘 Wellness rooms or home gyms
🚪 Defined entryways (mudrooms are a must!)

If you're looking for a home that fits the way we actually live today, let's find a layout that works for your family.

Home shopping in Mercer County or Philly? Don’t let the staging fool you! 🏡✨

Last week, I walked a property with a buyer who was ready to offer based on a beautiful open-concept kitchen. But when we got to the basement, my "construction eyes" went straight to the corner where the efflorescence: those white mineral deposits: was climbing the wall.

To most, it looks like a bit of dust. To me? It’s a sign of poor drainage or a foundation that’s been fighting a losing battle with the NJ rain. 🌧️

Being a Realtor AND a Public Insurance Adjuster with a construction background means I’m looking for the dealbreakers before you sign on the dotted line. Whether it’s a 1920s panel in Trenton or a drainage issue in Hamilton, my job is to make sure your dream home doesn’t become a money pit.

Ready for an advocate who sees what others miss? Let’s grab a coffee and talk about your search. ☕💪
