Genesee County Prevention Coalition

If you stop by the GCPC office you may see a familiar face this summer! Thanks to the Flint & Genesee Education & Talent SYI program we have been able to transition our Youth Action Council member to a part of the GCPC team. We are so glad to be able to further integrate our youth in the work that impacts their community. Help us welcome Jaeta Green to the team in the comments!

We had a fantastic time teaching mental health awareness to the Scouts at East Flint Church of the Nazarene alongside the Genesee County Prevention Coalition!

Scouts and their families stayed engaged with hands-on wellness activities, including building affirmation boxes, exploring fidget tools, collecting stickers, and learning practical ways to support their mental well-being.

It was inspiring to see participants of all ages actively embracing self-care, positive coping strategies, and meaningful conversations about mental health. As one Scout Leader shared, “This was really great!”

We're proud of these Scouts and their families for making their well-being a priority and grateful for the opportunity to support their journey toward healthy minds and healthy communities.
