We have outsourced our eggs to a sweet family farm in the Mize area called Timberline Ranch. They are going to be providing us with non GMO, corn and soy free eggs from now on — so no mo egg shortage!

Hey Friends,
We have a connection with a pasture raised pig farmer around Starkville, MS.
We found him through our good friend Benny who is a mobile butcher out of Richland.
They have 3 extra hogs that will be butchered next week. We’re getting a half of a hog to fill our freezer with clean, antibiotic free pork to last us into next year.
A general idea on cost:
For a half a hog you’ll get around 70 pounds of pork total, 10 pounds being bacon. The rest will be pork chops, ham, ribs, or you can get patty or link sausage. You can pick exactly how you want the processing.
Edit: He does offer smoked sausage and bacon!
(Benny the butcher is unable to smoke the sausage or bacon fyi)
Total cost for the half including processing is $500-$600 depending on the size of the hog.
There is a $150 deposit required.
That comes out to around $8 per pound, slightly more expensive than Walmart but the taste and quality is unmatched. Not to mention the meat is much healthier, the pigs lived much healthier lives, and it’s supporting a small farmer working hard to bring clean meat to market.
