Despite the tragedy, the overwhelming love and support that I have been seeing in Fountain Park has been amazing!

Although it’s not everything we need, please keep it going. We’re looking for everything from generators, tarps, to solar powered phone chargers.

To keep the kiddos spirits up, today we will be having free ice cream donated by Scoops of Joy in front of Centennial Church.

We are a strong and resilient people and this too shall pass!

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for the City of St. Louis until 3 AM.

Stay aware of changing conditions and additional watches and warnings. Be prepared to take shelter immediately when prompted. Make sure you have a portable radio, preferably a NOAA Weather Radio, for weather alerts and updates. Seek shelter in the lowest level of your home, such as a basement or storm cellar. If you don't have a basement, go to an inner hallway, a smaller inner room or a closet. Keep away from all windows and glass doorways.

A Tornado Watch means Be Prepared! Tornadoes are possible in and near the watch area. Review and discuss your emergency plans and check supplies and your safe room. Be ready to act quickly if a warning is issued or you suspect a tornado is approaching. Acting early helps to save lives!

Severe thunderstorms are likely late afternoon through the night, with best chances after 6 PM. While storms will be possible across much of the area, the greatest threat exists across central Missouri. All hazards are possible, including damaging wind, large hail, and tornadoes. A strong tornado can’t be ruled out, and a limited flooding threat also exists.

The Red Cross has established a temporary shelter at the Friendly Temple Outreach Center, located at 6356 Martin Luther King Drive, to support those impacted by the recent disaster.

We are here to provide assistance and resources to those affected by the recent disaster. If you need help or more information, please contact us at 314-367-9700 or visit our website at www.friendlytemple.org. You can also come by the location for support.

Due to the ongoing storm disaster, the following streets will remain closed until further notice. Please avoid the area and plan alternate routes.
