CBHS FCCLA

CBHS FCCLA takes Columbus, GA! Over the last 3 days, 7 of our chapter members traveled to Columbus, GA to attend the FCCLA State Leadership Conference. We had 4 students compete, and one of our members finished second in the state in her event and qualified for Nationals in Orlando this summer! We also had a member serve as a voting delegate where she represented our collective voice weighing in on electing new state officers and amending state bylaws! Several of these kiddos have been working hard all year to make our inaugural year as a chapter a success! More than anything though, I’m thankful to be their advisor because this group is top-notch! They professionally, proudly, and respectfully represented CBHS! And, we managed to squeeze in some fun too with a nice group dinner out, walking through downtown Columbus and even getting fancy and attending the FCCLA Gala event!

Brand New CBHS FCCLA Chapter Making Their Mark at Region Competition

On Thursday, February 6, 2025, seven Cherokee Bluff High School FCCLA chapter members traveled to Lawrenceville to compete in the Region 2 STAR Events at North Metro Baptist Church. This is the first year CBHS has had an FCCLA chapter, and three of the seven students qualified to move on to compete at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference in Columbus, GA in March of this year. Those members are seniors Alyssa Quick and Abby Childers, who competed in the Level 3 Focus on Children event, and sophomore Alaina Jordan, who competed in the Level 2 Leadership event. Congratulations to these students and good luck at state!

Shout out to two of our amazing FCCLA members! These two have been active in chapter events and activities all year! They have made a positive impact on others! We appreciate you Shelby and Pierce!
