🫐 Cyclosporiasis: Know the Signs. Stay Healthy.
Cyclosporiasis is an intestinal illness caused by the parasite Cyclospora cayetanensis. People usually become infected after eating or drinking contaminated food or water—often fresh produce that hasn’t been properly washed.
Common symptoms include:
💧 Watery diarrhea
🤢 Nausea or loss of appetite
😣 Stomach cramps
😴 Fatigue
🤒 Low-grade fever or bloating
Symptoms often begin about 1 week after exposure and can last for several weeks if left untreated.
Help reduce your risk by:
✔️ Washing fresh fruits and vegetables thoroughly
✔️ Washing your hands before eating and after using the restroom
✔️ Drinking safe, treated water
✔️ Being extra cautious with fresh produce while traveling
⚠️ Contact your healthcare provider if you have:
• Diarrhea lasting more than a few days
• Signs of dehydration (dry mouth, dizziness, dark urine)
• Severe abdominal pain or persistent fever
The good news? ❤️ Cyclosporiasis is treatable, and most people recover completely with appropriate medical care.

Mental Health Monday: Breaking generational silence in BIPOC families.
For many Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities, mental health was not always openly discussed. Many of us were taught to be strong, keep family matters private, pray through the pain, or push forward without naming what we were carrying.
But silence does not mean pain was not present.
Sometimes previous generations were surviving with the tools, language, and resources they had. Breaking generational silence is not about blaming our families. It is about making room for healing, honesty, support, and healthier patterns.
You are allowed to talk about anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress, and burnout. You are allowed to seek therapy. You are allowed to rest. You are allowed to heal without shame.
This week, ask yourself: What is one pattern I no longer want to carry silently?

Graceful Wellness PLLC and the Graceful Minds Initiative were proud to be represented at the MAC Multi-Sport Clinic this week! 💙🦋 Graceful Minds Initiative
It was an honor to connect with coaches, educators, athletic leaders, families, and community members while sharing resources that support student wellness, mental health care, school and sports physicals, ADHD support, anxiety and stress support, and overall performance wellness.
Through Graceful Wellness and the Graceful Minds Initiative, our mission remains the same: empowering minds, educating communities, breaking the stigma, and making wellness more accessible for youth, families, schools, and organizations.
A special thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, shared stories, and supported the vision. Together, we are building healthier students, stronger teams, and more informed communities. 💚

Mental Health Monday: July is BIPOC Mental Health Month — a time to recognize the unique mental health experiences of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities.
Mental health is not one-size-fits-all. Culture, family expectations, generational trauma, racism, stigma, faith, and access to care can all shape how we experience stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and healing.
For many BIPOC individuals, asking for support can feel complicated. You may have been taught to “stay strong,” “keep it in the family,” or push through silently. But needing support does not make you weak. It makes you human.
You deserve care that sees your full story, honors your lived experience, and supports your healing.
This week, give yourself permission to check in with your mental health and take one small step toward support.

Mental Health Monday with Ms.
Doctorate Mississippi and her Princess Royal Summer Today’s reminder: big feelings are not bad feelings. Children need safe spaces to feel, name, and process their emotions - and adults do too. Take a breath, give yourself grace, and choose kindness today.
Yesterday’s Healing After Trauma: PTSD Awareness & Support Workshop was truly meaningful. 💙
We created a safe space for education, reflection, poetry, community resources, and open conversation around PTSD and the healing journey. Thank you to everyone who attended, shared, supported, and helped make this event possible.
PTSD awareness is not just about recognizing trauma — it is about reminding survivors that they are seen, supported, and never alone.
Special thank you to Latoya Savage for sharing her powerful voice through poetry and to everyone who contributed to this important community event.
Healing is possible. Support matters. Awareness saves lives. 💙
