Our Juneteenth celebration this year featured the incredible Mid‑Town Jazz! They filled the day with blues, good vibes, and a joyful tribute to freedom, equality, and progress.

On June 19, we celebrate Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, and hope. Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when enslaved African Americans in Texas finally learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation had been issued.

As we honor this important day, we recognize the strength, perseverance, and countless contributions of Black Americans who have helped shape our nation, our communities, and our shared history. Juneteenth is both a celebration of freedom and an opportunity to reflect on the progress that has been made while continuing to foster understanding, respect, and inclusion for all.

We encourage everyone to take a moment to learn, reflect, and appreciate the diverse experiences and perspectives that enrich our community each day. By embracing our differences and celebrating what brings us together, we create a stronger, more welcoming environment for residents, team members, and all who call our community home.
