Will the market change soon? We don't know for sure. The Fed meets in February and still has a lot of work to do on the economy. But agents are reporting more phone calls, more chatter and more showings. We will have to wait till the middle of February to see January stats. Meanwhile, here is what California looked like in December. Active listings were at the lowest levels in at least 5 years.. More than 40% of home sellers were dropping prices. Mortgage rates have dropped a bit from 6.36% to 6.18% today on a 30 year. Let's wait and see what happens as spring approaches.
