Idea Studio FDLPL

Happy 4th of July from everyone at the Idea Studio and the Fond du Lac Public Library!!! We hope that you all stay safe and stay hydrated this weekend!!!!!!

This was a beautiful piece of digital art made by one of our young regulars on our Wacom drawing tablet. The Wacom drawing tablet does not require a training class and you dont have to be "badged" on it. It has a screen size of 21.5″ and comes with the Wacom Pro Pen 2.

If you would like to try it out, you can drop in anytime during our Idea Studio open hours. We are open Monday-Thursdays 3-8 PM, Fridays 3-6 PM and Saturdays Noon-4 PM.

More of the results from tonight's cyanotype drop in event in the Idea Studio kitchen. Participants got a variety of pre-coated paper to use to expose in our cardboard light boxes! These work great in the sun, but it's hard when we're in the basement- plus it was SUPER hot outside. So instead, we used two 365nm- 50W UV LED floodlights and a makeshift light box to expose our prints in!

We do have 5 extra "Cyanotype Kits" left in the Idea Studio. They have instructions and a little bit of history abut cyanotypes. If you missed out from this event but would light to try it out yourself using this hot summer sun, then stop down during our open hours to grab one of the kits before they're gone!
