Kristen Philips, MBA, CAE recently attended the Texas Society of Association Executives (TSAE) summer board retreat in Waco as part of her 3-year term. Discussion items included the importance of foresight amongst association boards, which can include regular “30,000-foot view” discussions about what’s coming down the road in 5-10 years, as well as implementing risk frameworks and working through various potential scenarios to ensure preparedness.
