What a weekend at the in Monticello IL. It literally takes a village some times. Friday was spent on very productive wrenching for the team in anticipation of the earlier forecasted 80 degree sunny Saturday of qualifying. Then then reality and the rain showed up early on Saturday. By early evening Bob was shopvacing water off the track, and the rest of the racers spread the moss and wood chips. As the sun set, we crossed our fingers and set in for bench racing for the night. Sunday, well that was track conditions that you dream of. Huge thank you to Lee Morrison, Eli Field, Horizon Hobby for a great event at a great facility. Race pics and report to follow.

The host and hostess with the mostest. I know better than most what it takes to hold any race (I have been to a couple in my day). Thank you to Tony the breakonator Bacon and his army. Great event!

Its race day! Put some lipstick on the pigs before we go out and crack plastic.

Semi packed up, P5 into the A main. B mains about to start. Dare I say a perfect RC weekend for a change? Hot but overcast and a great breeze. The orange and black truck are grandfather and grandson. Evan and Wes Courney sr. Very cool.

Round one in the books. Hot, dry, and dusty. Good 10 mph breeze in the perfect direction. Couple minor changes to the truck, round two in 20 or so.
