🦫 Join us June 25, 6–8pm at CSU (CHEM A103) for our Leave it to the Beavers speaker series! Dr. Emily Fairfax presents “Beavers: Architects of Wildfire Resistance” - sharing how partnering with beaver ecosystem engineering may be one of our most effective tools for building drought- and fire-resistant landscapes across the American and Canadian West.

Space is limited & RSVP required! 👉 poudrewatershed.org/beavers2026 (LINK IN BIO)

Dr. Emily Fairfax is a ecohydrologist and assistant professor of geography at the University of Minnesota. Fun fact: Fairfax served as the primary science consultant for the new Pixar animated film Hoppers.

Thank you to the Morrison Riverscapes Lab and the Intermountain West Transformation Network for co-hosting this next event alongside Wildlands Restoration Volunteers (WRV), the Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed (CPRW), Larimer Conservation District (LCD) and Rocky Mountain Flycasters (RMF).
