2nd Grade PBL Spotlight! 🪺🍃

Our 2nd-grade flock took their learning into the great outdoors! 🦅 For their recent Project-Based Learning unit, these curious Ospreys explored a wonderful driving question: "How can we help others notice and appreciate the natural habitats in our area?"

To answer this, our students didn't just study nature—they became official guides! They wrapped up this incredible unit by hosting a special family hike to share their expansive knowledge of our beautiful local habitats. ☀️🥾

During the event, our 2nd graders truly soared by:
🎤 Giving fantastic oral presentations out on the trails.
📖 Sharing their handcrafted "Olander Ranger" books, complete with written habitat facts and interactive activities for their families to complete.
🏅 Awarding official "Olander Ranger Badges" to family members who proudly took the Olander Ranger Pledge!

We love seeing our Ospreys step up as leaders and environmental stewards. Thank you to all the families who joined the flock for this special hike and took the pledge! Check out the amazing photos of our Olander Rangers in action. 📸

The Bird's Eye View: Looking ahead! 🦅👀

Osprey families, as we prepare to leave the nest for summer, we have some important schedule updates—and a sweet surprise!—for our final day of school on Wednesday, May 27th. ☀️

Please mark your calendars with these important details so we can finish the year flying high:

⏰ Early Dismissal & No Lunch Served: School will dismiss early at 10:53 AM. Because of this early release, lunch will NOT be served at school. Please ensure transportation and pickup arrangements are made for this adjusted time! 🚌🚗🥪

🍦 Last Day Ice Cream: Josh & John’s Ice Cream Truck is visiting! Cups are $6 (multiple flavors available) and come with lids so they are safe to take on the bus or ride home. Cash is preferred to keep the line flying fast, but credit cards are accepted! 💳💵

Thank you for helping us make the end of the year smooth, safe, and incredibly sweet! 💙💚
