Back to basics-hydrating!

How much water “should” we be drinking everyday? Do we need to put minerals in our water so our cells can absorb it better? Is too much bad? What happens to my body when I don’t get enough? Drink water throughout the day so you feel full and hydrated. We live in a very dry climate and water is the best thing to help with that. Drink tea, decaffeinated coffee, plain water or water with electrolytes when you feel thirsty. Drinking too much water during meals can create low stomach acid (which is needed to break down foods by activating digestive enzymes) and that can slow down digestion, so chew your food really well so you don’t have to drink water to get the food down.
