Today we kick off this summer’s ministry sending 2 Day Camp teams to St Paul/First United Methodist in Cheyenne and to Nativity in Commerce City. So grateful for congregational partners welcoming us as we bring God’s song down the mountain and into the world! 🌎🎶🌎

Our summer theme HARMONIZE is based around being many and varied parts of ONE body (Romans 12 - working together for the common good and to share God’s song with the world.)

This month one of the most incredible examples of many gifts, one body was two separate work weekends that brought exciting renewal to the site in advance of our summer season.

Highlights of early May Weekend included Metal Roof installed on Camp Store, Lights, door handles and locks replaced in camper cabins for greater accessibility. And …. drumroll…..BPC Fireplace demo completed! 🔥

Highlights from our Memorial Work Weekend included new fencing around our garden beds, Beaver Flats platform area prep, full replacement of all the outdoor chapel benches, log clearing, set up of our camp store, picnic bench and table refurb in pavilion, replacing the doors on Tutu cabin and deep cleaning the BPC, the campground. the chuckwagon and Christ Lodge.

38 friends of the ministry of all ages came and joined our 17 staff on site for leadership and ropes training to start our summer season with energy, enthusiasm and worship of the God who calls us to this special place to serve and be reminded of our place in the song!

10 amazing summer staff got high ropes certified this week! During their two day training they learned how to safely facilitate both the ropes course and power pole. They can’t wait to facilitate campers experience on our amazing ropes course this summer.

Our leadership staff arrived over the weekend and we’re 2 days into all the prep, learning and building relationships to sustain and support the rest of our staff who begin arriving this coming weekend.

So grateful for these amazing young adults, faithful, gifted leaders who said YES to God’s call to return and to come from the furthest edges of the country to serve.
