Anne and her son had the opportunity to volunteer for Sproutin' Up recently and would like to give them a shout. Sproutin' Up began with a mission of providing free, affordable farmers markets in low-income neighborhoods. They also teach underserved young people gardening skills so they can grow their own fresh fruits and vegetables. In the summer, they pay youth to work the farm and then they can take the produce for their own families.
