🚨 Microsoft Teams adding protection against suspicious bots

Microsoft is introducing a new security feature in Teams that will clearly label third-party bots trying to join meetings.

Starting May 2026, any external bot will appear tagged in the meeting lobby, so organizers can easily recognize that it’s not a human participant.

This update is part of Microsoft’s broader effort to reduce phishing, scams, and social-engineering attacks on collaboration platforms.
