The Bella Fiore carved sign is one of our most memorable projects. It dates back thirty years to the late 1990s. The sign is unique because of its traditionally hand-carved letters and completely hand-carved dimensional border. Its distressed faux background and the faux-finished carved elements contribute to the sign's "old world" cachet. Occasionally, we provide fabrication services for marketing and advertising firms, as well as other sign companies. Such is the case for the 2-sided, 30" x 9', Wonder Outpost sandblasted sign. We produced the large horizontal sign for Husky Signs located in Frederick, CO. Our services for Husky included ordering the high density urethane (HDU) substrate, sandblasting a faux wood texture into its surface, routing the letters to a depth of 1/4", and, then cutting an irregular, rough-hewn border around the entire sign. Lately, hand-carved signs have been very popular. Whether they're used as personal or business signs, the requests have increased. Usually, the projects are for more artistic, elegant or personalized signs. For example, the hand-carved sign (pictured) is a church sign that's in the process of becoming a treasured item for the St. Spyridon Orthodox Church. The 14" x 25", hand-carved, gold-leafed mahogany sign is elegant and simple in design. Once the wood stain and gold leaf are applied, the sign will glow with welcoming warmth.
