Finally, a week of good news for rates.

After months of volatility, we saw rates improve a little bit almost every day this week.

What's helping?

🌍 A tentative peace agreement and 60-day ceasefire extension between the U.S. and Iran.

⛽ Oil prices dipped back below $90 per barrel.

The key for markets is that the Strait of Hormuz is expected to remain open. When oil can move freely, inflation pressures tend to ease, which is generally good news for mortgage rates.

Markets are still cautious after all the back-and-forth we've seen this year, but this was a meaningful step in the right direction.

After the roller coaster we've been on, a calm and steady week feels pretty nice.

Today we remember and honor the men and women who gave everything in service to our country.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend, it’s a day to pause and remember those who made sacrifices so the rest of us could enjoy moments with family, friends, and the freedoms we often take for granted.
