Congratulations and best wishes to our former client, a brilliant scientist and global leader in biomedical research.

New dean for Faculty of Medicine George Q. Daley will become the next dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Harvard President Drew Faust and Provost Alan Garber announced.

Our thoughts go out to everyone affected by these floods, particularly in hard-hit Boulder. We're fortunate to be high and dry, but many others are not. As landscape architects, we're always dealing with issues of storm water management, 100 year storms and the like, but typically as abstract calculations. It's humbling to see the raw power of water, and reinforces the importance of flood mitigation in our treatment of the land and infrastructure planning. Out here in the west, we may not get much rain, but we tend to get a lot all at once! Hope everyone is staying safe.
