As we close out the first week of World Oceans Month, we’re excited to open recruitment for a NEW SEMINAR: the International Seminar on Marine Area Management (ISMAM)! 🌊 🥳 🐋
This 15-day in-person seminar is designed to strengthen approaches to marine management in support of global “30x30” goals by bringing together emerging practitioners, managers, and caretakers from government, NGOs, academia, Indigenous, and local communities around the world into a space for shared learning across diverse contexts and lived experiences.
Through immersive, field-based learning in Baja California Sur, Mexico, ISMAM emphasizes systems thinking, leadership development, and peer-to-peer capacity sharing, building the connections and shared understanding needed to bridge global ocean priorities with local marine management practice.
