The wellness of your heart dictates the wellness of your entire body.

I’m not just talking “cardio” and getting the blood pumping.

Your heart is the seat of your subconscious. As an organ of perception, every single piece of information about you lives within your heart.

Ever wonder why heart transplant patients seem to take on certain personality traits of their donors after a successful surgery?

Your heart holds your personal code.

Your heart is in everlasting communication with every conscious cell around it - transcending time, space, and even bodies.

The things we hold close to us, are the things providing us with the greatest payoff.

Sometimes that’s something outwardly obvious such as a husband or our children or a job you truly love.

…and sometimes it’s something a little more insidious. Like a wound.

We are programmed to keep our wounds open and not close and heal then because they provide us with some form of a payoff.

Pity from others
A free pass
A reason to be stuck
Attention
Acts of service from others

The list is truly endless.

And only YOU will ever truly know what wounds you still consciously or unconsciously keep open … and what you are receiving from it.

Nobody is perfect. We all have our stuff.

And it’s not my business to tell you to heal a wound or not.

But I do ask that you approach all possible wounds / chronic behaviors with curiosity and compassion.

1️⃣ Why am I REALLY doing this? (To self sooth, to numb, to avoid?)

2️⃣ What am I attempting to avoid? (Getting hurt, being rejected, failing, being wrong?)

3️⃣ What’s the payoff I get from doing this? (Procrastinating, pity, rank?)

4️⃣ Do I want to / am I ready to change?

Healing a wound takes intentional, conscious effort. And it can be uncomfortable.

But it is a worthy endeavor.
