Tragedy will either break you or build you.
Sixteen years ago today, it forced me to choose.
On February 27th 2010, my family experienced a tragedy that forever changed our lives.
My son lost his life in a firearm incident.
For many years, the idea of starting a foundation in his name has been on my mind. Truthfully, there were times I didn’t want to do it. Reopening that chapter isn’t easy. But I have come to understand that it is necessary.
Necessary because too many children are exposed to fi****ms without proper education.
Necessary because too many adults underestimate access, curiosity, and responsibility.
Necessary because prevention only happens through education.
For over 15 years, I have served as a certified firearm instructor. What began as pain turned into purpose, and that purpose turned into passion. I have dedicated myself to teaching juvenile firearm safety, responsible ownership, safe handling, and awareness to both youth and adults.
Now, I am in the process of establishing the
🌟R.L. Reddick II Memorial Foundation.🌟
This foundation will focus on child firearm safety and firearm safety as a whole, educating juveniles and adults on the dangers of unsecured fi****ms and the importance of responsibility and proper storage.
Our motto is simple:
⭐️“Remember that they are children.”⭐️
Children are curious.
Children are impulsive.
Children do not think like adults.
It is our responsibility to secure fi****ms, educate our youth, and lead by example.
The foundation is not fully operational yet, but the vision is clear and the work is underway.
Today, I remember my son.
And I continue turning pain into passion — building something in his name that protects others.

Today, I give thanks to the GREAT CREATOR, for the blessing of being able to see 47 years of life.
Every year has added wisdom, clarity, strength, and perspective. I don’t take a single one for granted. Along this journey, I’ve learned an important truth: everyone won’t like you, and that’s perfectly fine.
I am fully aware that there are people who don’t like me, don’t support me, and would rather see me stall than succeed. The reality is, that is their problem.
Despite opinions, resistance, jealousy, and quiet hate, I continued to show up, stand tall, and be great.
This past year alone is proof of that. I’ve achieved multiple accomplishments—personally, professionally, and purpose-driven. I’ve grown, I’ve built, I’ve led, and I’ve elevated. I’ve done the work when no one was watching and reaped the rewards when it mattered.
And let me be crystal clear:
I will continue doing exactly what I’ve been doing—winning, progressing, and being unapologetically great.
I’m not here to make everyone comfortable. I’m here to fulfill purpose, walk in excellence, and be absolutely great.
"If I am to be labeled anything; Let it be the best."
So here’s to 47 years of life.
Grateful. Focused. Unstoppable.
