New York Adult Survivors Act was officially signed into law. The law provides survivors of sexual violence, who were 18 years or older at the time, and are currently time-barred from pursuing a civil action, a ONE YEAR window to pursue civil action against the person who committed a sexual offense and/or the entity that enabled the sexual act(s). This one-year window begins on NOVEMBER 24, 2022.
