“Two years can make a huge difference in the lives of patients and communities.”

Training doctors changes communities.

Through MedSend’s National Scholars Program, physicians begin serving sooner in low-resource communities.

As our fiscal year end approaches on June 30, give now to help us close the 10% gap in our budget to support training for more young doctors: medsend.org/give.

Dr. Sheryl Uyeda has served in Papua New Guinea for eight years.

She has performed countless surgeries, delivered difficult news to families, and worked in a hospital where there is no ICU and limited backup when complications arise.

“I have learned to release patients into His hands… in spite of our best efforts, I can’t ‘save’ anyone. Only He has the power to heal.”

This is the posture of long-term medical missions; skilled hands, steady presence, and trust when outcomes are beyond human control.

MedSend supports Dr. Uyeda so she can remain at Kudjip Nazarene Hospital, continuing to care for patients who would otherwise have limited access to surgical care.

If you’re grateful for doctors willing to serve in places like this, consider supporting the work of global healthcare workers like Dr. Uyeda today and help us fully fund our budget before June 30.
