There is always SOMEONE out there willing to give advice when it comes to parenting and motherhood. Some of it is good and some of it is not so good. It can be VERY overwhelming when it comes to knowing what is best for your kiddos.

What I have figured out after parenting for 14 years with 4 kiddos who are all very different from one another is simple: your maternal instinct is the way to go.

Hear some advice that seems like something that could benefit you? Give it a try.

Hear some advice that sounds like a bunch of nonsense OR seems like that would not work for your family? Move on.

I don’t care who it’s from. I don’t care how long you have known that person or what their credentials are. I can tell you that certain things work from one of my kiddos that the other ones don’t really connect with. I can tell you that there are times when something works-depending on the timing and situation- and other times when it doesn’t. I’m not saying you can’t learn from others. I’m saying that if something makes you feel like that isn’t going to work, find a different strategy. Because those are YOUR kids. And incase you forgot–YOU’RE DOING A GREAT JOB!
