There is a lot that goes into painting the exterior of a house. The prep work is even more important then putting the actual paint on the house. Good prepping is key to getting a professional and long lasting end product.

First thing you have to to is power wash the house. This gets all the dirt and grime that happens over time off of the house. We like to use chlorine to kill off any mold and mildew that could be growing to make sure our surface is ready to paint. Then you need to prep-off the area you are painting to prevent over spray. This includes taping up windows with plastic and laying drop cloths on the floors so no paint gets where it shouldn’t. Then you have to seal off the old paint with a chalk binding sealer to keep the new paint from peeling. Then you need to repair any cracks in the stucco and re-caulk windows where needed. And THEN you can start painting.
