Have you ever synced your phone with your PC or laptop that has iTunes on it? If you haven’t, you should and here’s why:
If your iPhone is ever disabled, for example due to multiple incorrect attempts at entering the password or you forget your password, you can unlock it by connecting it to the same computer.
IF YOU DO NOT sync with iTunes through a PC or laptop, you will have to restore the device. Restoration will factory reset the iPhone and you will lose all of your data if it hasn’t been backed up previously.
