Main Street Fort Pierce

On Saturday, the Main Street Fort Pierce Board of Directors stepped away from their annual strategic planning meeting at the historic Platts/Backus House to take in something just as important happening right outside.

Thanks to the generosity of .a.f_tree_service and Silvestre Aguilar, who is donating his time and talent, and other local craftsmen doing the same, the property is getting some much-needed care—from tree trimming to thoughtful improvements that are already making a visible difference.

This effort is part of a larger, ongoing volunteer- and donation-driven project focused on preserving one of Fort Pierce’s most treasured historic landmarks.

It’s a reminder that revitalization doesn’t just happen in meetings—it happens in the hands of people who care enough to show up and do the work.
