Tornadoes, some possibly strong could occur this afternoon and tonight.

The National Weather Service has issued a 10% hatched risk area (see the yellow area with black dashed lines).

This is indicative of an area favorable to observe tornadoes.

Perhaps a couple of strong ones (EF2+).

The risk will go up this afternoon, and this evening. Not everyone living in this area will observe a tornado.

Unfortunately, this is one of those things where we just have to heed to the warnings and see what happens.

Don’t forget that large hail is also possible.

We need to root for storms to become less organized and more widespread.

This would maintain a wind threat, but could lower the tornado and significant hail threat.

Pay attention to warnings today, don’t fool around with it.
