🌟 Spotlight on Rileigh Baumer and Kiara Bahena! 🌟

3RRC staff members. University of Saint Francis students. Mid-distance girlies. Future healthcare professionals. An unstoppable duo that's part of a record-breaking relay team!

During the Drake Relays this outdoor track season, Rileigh and Kiara qualified for NAIA Nationals by lowering the school record in the 4 x 800m relay to 9:21. Last month, at the national meet in Asheville, each member of the relay raced with heart, collectively pulling the team to yet another school record of 9:15 in the process!

⛰ This is major! 🌍

Last month, 3RRE member Hidi Gaff traveled to South Africa to race the World Age Group Championships at the Cape Town Marathon. Despite the dreaded "Three H's" of race day (heat, humidity, and hills), Hidi finished 61st female, 4th American, and 15th in the Women's 45-49 category!

The Cape Town Marathon is in the final stages of assessment to become a World Major alongside Boston, Chicago, New York, London, Berlin, Tokyo, and Sydney. Finishers of this year's marathon, including the G.O.A.T., Eliud Kipchoge, all received a provisional star. That provisional star becomes permanent when Cape Town passes its final evaluation. The world is watching!

Hidi hopes to obtain her 8th and final star at the World Age Group Championships at the Tokyo Marathon on March 7.

Appleseeds Summer Track Camp this June 23-25 still has openings for school-aged* kids. During camp week, kids will learn the ins and outs of throws, hurdles, long jump, high jump, or pole vault, and then wrap up the week by competing at Thursday Night Spikes!
