In April, some of the Mathis Lab traveled to the American Physiology Summit in Baltimore. Dr. Paromita Das-Earl successfully presented our poster on the effect of low intensity ultrasound on acute and chronic inflammatory settings. This study is funded by the Department of Defense. Summit is known for its networking opportunities, and we took full advantage of the accessibility of American Physiological Society leaders. Dr. Mathis connected with her mentors, past, current and future APS presidents, colleagues, and trainees. It was a great conference and looking forward to next year!

The cultural programs at our institution are top notch! The Black History Month Celebration did not disappoint. 🙌🏾 I always learn so much!! I appreciate the effort to keep programs like this going even in today’s climate. ♥️💚💛🖤
