Response: They've been getting all year long.

In the moment, you frown, twist your lips, and say...ooookay.

Fast forward..

It's Assistant Principal Week and I've been showered with words, gestures, gifts, and tokens of appreciation. If I'm honest I wasn't expecting anything and that's how I've roll every year.

You may be wondering...why is that?? Well, it goes back to that response at the beginning of this post. I'll admit, the response could easily carry a negative connotation but not in this case. I understand what it means to get all year long.

Those that really know me, know I do what I do without hidden agendas or mean motives.

PERIOD.

I serve some of the best teachers hands down. Yes, there are challenges. Yes, they get tired. Yes, they dig in and work harrrrrd. Yes, sometimes the conversations are uncomfortable. Inspite of all that, they STILL find the time to encourage me, give gifts, and tokens of appreciation THROUGHOUT the year.

They understand the power and value of relationships. That alone is a gift.
