Franchisors: Don’t Miss the June 30 SBA Recertification Deadline

It’s important to be aware of the upcoming June 30 deadline for franchise brands to be recertified on the SBA Franchise Directory.

Who does this affect?
Franchisors on the SBA Franchise Directory with a blank or no Certification Received field.

What happens?
If your brand has not applied to be recertified by June 30, it will be removed. SBA lenders will be unable to approve loans for your franchisees until the brand is relisted.

How to apply:
Submit the following directly to the SBA at [email protected]:

• Current Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD)
• Franchise Agreement
• SBA Franchise Certification
• Any additional documents signed by the franchisee
