In SUFFS, Ida B. Wells and Mary Church Terrell remind us of a phrase that has carried generations forward — "Lifting as we climb, onward and upward we go." Those words belong to the National Association of Colored Women, founded in 1896, and they ring just as true today.

On this Juneteenth, we celebrate that spirit — of freedom hard won, and of the work that continues. Onward and upward.
