Commissioner Miles joined the Mount Gilead Baptist Church family last Sunday for their Final Service at 600 Grove St. in Fort Worth.

A historic chapter closed, but the mission remains. As the Great Commission calls us; we are here to save people, not buildings. The faith, legacy, and community built at Mount Gilead will rise higher in

Today we celebrated the groundbreaking of Hughes House II, marking an important step toward expanding affordable and permanent supportive housing in Stop-6. When completed, Hughes House will provide 542 mixed-income housing units on the site where the former Cavile Place once stood.

This project represents continued investment in the community and a commitment to creating quality housing opportunities for residents. Congratulations to everyone who helped make this milestone possible! 🎉🏘️

It was an honor to attend the “Health in the Hood” Mental Health Wellness Symposium. Events like this play a vital role in raising awareness, reducing stigma, and connecting our communities with valuable mental health resources. Thank you to the organizers, speakers, and community partners for creating meaningful conversations that promote wellness and support for all.

I was in the room last night where it matters listening, learning, and building solutions alongside community members, service providers, and local leaders focused on Juvenile Justice reform.

Special thanks to Community Frontline, For Oak Cliff and Lone Star Justice Alliance for leading this critical conversation. Our youth deserve better, and this community is stepping up.

Big news for Precinct One! The Wichita Street Widening Project is funded and ready to break ground.

This Tarrant County initiative will transform a 2-lane asphalt road into a modern 5-lane concrete corridor, complete with a center turn lane, curb & gutter, and new sidewalks stretching from IH-20 to Roy C. Brooks Blvd. Safer roads. Better connectivity through Forest Hill, Fort Worth, and Everman.
