Franklin was just named the #1 safest city in Tennessee and the 12th safest midsize city in America by SmartAsset.
The ranking looked at factors including violent crime, property crime, traffic fatalities, and drug overdoses among cities with populations between 65,000 and 250,000.
Franklin’s violent crime rate came in at just 1.32 incidents per 1,000 residents, helping it earn one of the top spots in the country.
