It's a common misconception, but fixing the leak is only part of the solution.
Repairing the source of moisture helps prevent new mold from growing, but it doesn't remove mold that may have already developed while the area was wet. Hidden mold can continue to grow behind drywall, under flooring, or inside other building materials, even after the leak has been repaired.
That's why it's important to address both the cause of the moisture and determine whether mold is still present.

When I married Drew, I married a professional baseball player. Strong. Disciplined. Healthy. Even after retiring, he never stopped taking care of himself. Working out was simply part of who he was.
Then we unknowingly moved into a home with hidden mold behind both of our bathrooms.
Within about six months, I watched the healthiest guy I knew begin to change. The workouts slowed down. Brain fog. Fatigue. Aches and pains. It was hard to watch him decline.
Thankfully, we were able to connect the dots and realized our home wasn’t as healthy as it looked.
That experience changed the course of our lives and ultimately led to Mold Pups. Today, I'm passionate about helping other families uncover what can’t always be seen because we’ve lived it ourselves.
