From the occult to SAVED! My journey back to Jesus… real, raw and unfiltered.

The evil eye isn’t just cute jewelry or good vibes, friends. Its whole purpose comes from superstition, fear, and the idea that an object can spiritually protect you from evil. Scripture is pretty clear about where our protection comes from. And it’s not in charms, crystals, beads, or symbols. It points us to God.

Psalm 27:1 says, “The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?” That means our protection isn’t hanging from our neck, sitting in our car, or wrapped around our wrist. Our protection is Christ. PERIOD.

A lot of people wear stuff like this without understanding the roots behind them. But as believers, we need to ask: “What am I putting my faith in?” Because anything you trust spiritually outside of God can become an idol or a counterfeit source of security, which eventually leads to a foothold.

Proverbs 18:10 says the name of the Lord is a strong tower. Not a symbol. Not an amulet. Not “energy.” Jesus already defeated darkness at the cross, y’all. You don’t need no lucky charms when you belong to the King.

Stop panicking over the attack, friends. Just don’t partner with it.

A Prayer for Stirring the Fire Back Up

Father God,
I thank You that You never called us to live quiet, scared or spiritually asleep. Your Word says to “fan into flame the gift of God” (2 Timothy 1:6). So today, I ask You to stir the fire back up in me. Wake up every gift, every calling, every passion for Your kingdom that got buried under fear, distractions, sin, exhaustion, disappointment or people’s opinions.

Lord, burn away spiritual laziness. Burn away compromise. Burn away every mindset that keeps me comfortable but also powerless. I don’t wanna be lukewarm. I want that fire from heaven. Your Word says, “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord” (Romans 12:11). Teach me how to stay on fire in prayer, in worship, in obedience, and in Your Word.

Father, remind me that You didn’t give me a spirit of fear. You gave me power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). So I renounce fear, intimidation, shame and every form of passivity. I refuse to shrink back from what You called me to do. I refuse to dim my light to make people comfortable.

Holy Spirit, breathe on the gifts You put inside me. Sharpen my discernment. Grow wisdom up in me. Let boldness rise up. Increase my hunger for holiness. Hit me with conviction an let it be strong. Rekindle my first love for Jesus. Your Word says, “Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road?” (Luke 24:32, ESV). Lord, make my heart burn for You again.

I declare:
I’m bold as a lion, (Proverbs 28:1).
Your word is in my heart like a fire, (Jeremiah 20:9).
Our God is a consuming fire, (Hebrews 12:29).
I receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon me, (Acts 1:8).

God, set my life on fire for Your glory. Let my house carry peace. Let my prayers carry weight. Let my words carry truth. Let my life point people back to Jesus. Keep me close to You so the fire never dies out. You’re worthy of all the honor, praise and glory! HALLELUJAH 🙌🏼 *tambourines*
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
