Attention Residents:
Due to staffing shortages, the Spring Ridge Pool facility will be closed for the remainder of the week and will open again on Saturday for the Labor Day weekend. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Thank you.
School began today, August 18th, and with the early start, we are presented with a new challenge at the pool. This unique year saw mostly local staff made up of high schoolers and college students filling the lifeguard and management positions. Many of them have returned to school, which leaves us with a lifeguard shortage for the remainder of the season. So, what does that mean for the neighborhood:
We will be working daily to have the appropriate number of guards needed to staff all four of our pools, but in the event, we are short staffed, pools will be closed in the following order: baby pool, lap pool, piano pool, and main pool. With each pool closure, there will also be capacity limitations that we will need to monitor and adhere to. Additionally, we will be closing at 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays effective August 20th. We hope that we can continue to keep the pool open through Labor Day, but we are taking each day in stride and assessing.
We are grateful for High Sierra, our pool management company, who have worked so hard to keep the pools running smoothly this season. They will continue to try to find resources to staff our pool, but it is a great challenge in these last few weeks of the pool season.
We will continue to notify the community as things change and we thank you for your patience and understanding.
Reminder for July 3-5th,
No guests will be allowed at the pool over the holiday weekend. We are typically at capacity with regular member attendance. Guests will be allowed back on July 6th. At that time, we will increase the guest count from 2 per household to 6 per household. If we begin to hit capacity with the increased guests at any time, we do reserve the right to adjust the guest count again so that all members have access to the pool.
Thank you and have a safe and Happy 4th of July!
ATTENTION RESIDENTS:
The pool is exploding with patrons right now and we have had issues with members not abiding by the pool rules. A couple important rules are listed below and will be enforced.
1) Members MUST check in and OUT when leaving the facility. Our system tracks the number of people in the pool and alerts us when we are nearing capacity. If members refuse to check out, it skews the numbers. This weekend we were close to capacity several times. It is important that people allow for the checkout process even if you are simply leaving for a short time (like a trip to Weis) and will return.
2) NO GLASS BOTTLES ALLOWED INSIDE THE FACILITY. This is a non-negotiable rule. Lifeguards will begin checking coolers upon entering as this has become a major issue. Broken glass in or around the pools means that the entire pool must be drained and cleaned. Just as a warning, if a patron is found with a glass bottle and it breaks, the homeowner will be held responsible for the expense of cleaning and filling the pool.
3) Spring Ridge Pool is a non-smoking facility. This includes va**ng. Anyone seen va**ng on the pool deck will be issued a warning, a second offence will result in expulsion from the facility.
4) While we allow food and beverages in our facility, NO FOOD OR BEVERAGES ARE ALLOWED ON THE POOL DECK. Food and beverages are permitted in the chairs or tables but not alongside the pool edge.
5) Spring Ridge does allow alcoholic beverages within the facility. However, we will not tolerate drunk or belligerent behavior towards our lifeguard staff. This behavior is grounds for immediate removal and possible suspension.
For a complete list of pool rules, please visit our website. We are glad that the pool is open and that everyone is enjoying the facility. We ask that you be kind to the lifeguard staff who work diligently to keep a safe environment. As a reminder, guests of members also have to follow these rules. Members' privileges to have guests will be revoked if your guest cannot follow the rules.
