Wednesday is for GIRL BOSSES!

There are so many things happening lately! I got married, I had a HUGE win with one of my clients, my Virtual Library family is working extra hard and I’m personally hitting ALL of my G.O.A.L.S! Sometimes you have to take a step back and look at all that is happening around you!

Celebrate yourself today! You are amazing! You’re doing great! The BEST is yet to come!

I train individuals and organizations to use Project Management fundamentals beyond the office in their personal lives to achieve success.

Kanban Boards are one of my favorite Agile Project Management tools to teach! Why you ask? Like much else in the Agile world, the parameters of Kanban Boards are fully customizable to each team and the specific project being worked on.

This versatility allows them to be used to plan and keep track of literally anything. The most simplistic Kanban Board has the following sections: To Do, Doing, and Done.

Project Management teams will use these to monitor project status and place them in a central location for everyone to stay informed of what’s happening. I use the Kanban Board to manage my client projects AND my personal To-Do list every week!

How to use it:
✍🏾 Plan out the best space for your Kanban Board! The key is to keep the board in a place where you can readily see it.

✍🏾 List EVERY known task that needs to get done in the To-do column. If it’s not listed in the board it likely won’t get done.

✍🏾 Pick which task you want to tackle at the moment/which tasks you intend to work on for the day. Move them to the Doing or In-Progress column.

✍🏾 As you complete tasks, move them to the Done column! Do a ‘Done’ dance to celebrate (or take a shot - your choice)! 🎉☺️ It’s seriously that easy!

A lot of people are visual so seeing priorities on display is critical to keeping themselves on track. (Spoiler: I’m people!)

You can do this by hand, on a blank piece of paper, or electronically. Lately I’ve been using Asana (project management software) to manage my Kanban Boards everyday!

Were you already familiar with the Kanban Board? Do you think it could be helpful for you? Let’s talk about it in the comments!
