Yesterday was a day of positive productivity! After a patient 8-day journey—waiting 2 to 3 days for each color layer to dry—I’ve finally finished my prints. I’m so happy to officially title this work: The Green Mountain Gaze. 🏔️👁️
The concept for the “hand-flower” came from a friend’s dream about many hands in the community reaching out through my art. I chose to draw a single hand-flower with an eye at its root, watching over the landscape. I even experimented with soaking Stonehenge paper to achieve this deep, snowy blue version!
A massive thank you to visiting artist Elizabeth Mooney for her wonderful tips. We had so much FUN playing with rainbow ink to create the “Sea Lady” print—she turned out GORGEOUS! ✨
Taking a little break from the press today to reset with some oil painting and sketching on tracing paper. It feels good to switch gears!

Dinner is still in the works. 🍽️ Scaling up this "happy accident" from a 12x12 tile study to a 12x18 linocut block. Still finishing the drawing and mapping out the color layers before the carving begins. Plan, plan, plan! ✍️✨ . 3.7.26

Getting lost in the landscape and found in the work. The first 72 hours of the whirlwind, documented.

I’ve arrived! 🌲✨ I still can’t believe I’m finally here for my residency at the Vermont Studio Center. A huge thank you to for the 50% fellowship and for providing interpreters to make this residency fully accessible for me. 🤟I am also incredibly grateful to the Maryland State Arts Council () for the grant funding that helped make this possible. This project is supported in part by the Maryland State Arts Council (msac.org). Now, time to get into the studio! 🎨
