Came behind a big company today that was selling a $20 a month service package.. customer told me the service tech walked around taking pictures and then presented a quote for $5,600 selling a $2,000 UV light $3,600 to clean the coil and said the blower motor was very dirty. Plus check for a freon leak...
Customer was told that these things would have to be corrected before they would give her a maintenance contract..

Do not buy into scare tactics like this.
Unfortunately this is not the first customer I have picked up after big company tactics like this..

These are the pictures I took.
We serviced the unit added half a pound of freon probably do from the cap missing on the true suction port.. motor and blower wheel were clean to begin with. Coil was a little dirty but that is all a part of basic maintenance.

$200 Dollars later I have a customer for life now.
