The family expressed sadness for the woman and her anger. Their hope is that all of us can learn to respect each other has humans, and our personal property. And they even expressed forgiveness. π
This is not the first time our Orange Ballot signs have been damaged or removed. Vandalism is not acceptable (in fact, itβs illegal). But the response of this couple can be a lesson for us all - the hateful rhetoric that has influenced so much divisiveness must stop. π
We are focused on solutions that parents are asking for in FCPS. π
We will not be distracted, we will not be dismayed. We just ask that you not let your intrusive thoughts take over when you see a sign you disagree with π
That is just

After a wonderful networking opportunity with local Frederick County business leaders, we stopped in to say hello to our friends at the Republican Women of Frederick County. These amazing women are dedicated and passionate about the issues facing our community! π½
The evening wrapped up celebrating County Council Member Mason Carterβs Birthday! We had great conversations with so many community members and voters, as well as elected officials and candidates like State Delegate candidate for District 4 Jason Keckler, County Council Candidate for District 2 Kai Burhans for Frederick County, Mayor of New Market Winslow Burhans, Frederick County Councilman Brad Young, Frederick City Councilwoman Katie Nash, IAFF District 2 Station Rep Charles Tippett, Republican Central Committee Chair (President of the Republican Club of Frederick County and Vice Chair of the Frederick County Young Republicans) Justin Wages and many more! π£οΈ
Happy Birthday, Mason - and good luck on your re-election! π

In the wise words of Lin-Manuel Miranda, βfollow the money and see where it goes.β πͺΆ
Money often spends easier when it isnβt your own. πΈ
Are these the types of expenses donors expected their hard-earned contributions to fund? π€
If this is how campaign dollars are prioritized, voters should ask how taxpayer dollars would be utilized. π°
Are meals, retail purchases, and βPride prepβ displaying goals of advancing academic excellence in FCPS? π
The Common Sense Slate for FCPS Board of Education stands for fiscal responsibility. We will scrutinize every dollar in our budget and ensure we are responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars. β

We are still in awe of what an incredible event we had at Holly Hills with former Governor Bob Ehrlich. The energy was hard to describe as we packed out the room! π
First and foremost we need to thank Steve Whisler for Maryland State Delegate for all his support in putting together this joint fundraiser with the BoE candidates from Carroll County. They have set the bar high on what can be accomplished when common sense candidates have a seat at the table! π
Weβd also like to thank Delegate Jesse Pippy and Chris Tomlinson for State Delegate for speaking on our behalf and helping raise support. π
Then, to Governor Ehrlich, thank you for giving your time and support to helping raise money for this incredibly important race. Your presence and inspiration resulted in an exceedingly successful event. π
And thank you to everyone who attended and supported or donated. We canβt do this without YOU π«΅
Together we can flip this board and prove π>π with the support of the MD Orange Ballot
