As the end of 2021 quickly approaches, we want to take a moment to thank you for being a part of our Veterinary Quick Care family. We are grateful to know you and honored to take care of your pets. Thank you.
We have a few important updates to share as we head into the new year.
Our Veterinary Quick Care at Freeport Crossing practice will be closing December 31, 2021.
We are very excited to share that will be making some major renovations and we will be back open in early summer 2022 as PetMedic Freeport! We can’t wait to see you then!

Dear clients, co-workers and fellow animal lovers,

Thank you for making Veterinary Quick Care Freeport a great success. The business model of a walk-in clinic has served us well, but the current demands on the veterinary profession require some changes. Due to overwhelming demand for services, combined with staffing and employment challenges, the high stress, anxiety and depression they put on everyone we need to make a change to our business model. We have implemented an online scheduling tool for appointments.

The key points of this are as follows:
1. Clients must sign up via our website: www.animalquickcare.com
2. Appointments are available for same day appointments only.
3. Unfortunately, we may not be able to provide veterinary care to your pet if you choose to arrive on a walk-in basis. For the time being, we highly recommend taking advantage of our scheduling program. I understand that this is a significant change and we do not make it lightly.

Please consider some of the following reasons and examples of why changing to the online scheduling is necessary at this time:
1. The large collection of people who show up before we open, and then are racing to sign up and being forced to wait hours for their pet to be seen. This is not fair to the pet or pet owner.
2. Having clients drive hours to see us to find out there are no appointments available. This is not fair to the pet or pet owner.
3. We have had people show up with such a large number of pets that they would like to have seen or treated that we don’t have time to see all of the other people that also showed up that day.
4. With all these demands on the profession, staff anxiety, burnout and depression have never been higher. If demand for veterinary care ever starts to ease up, and if the veterinary industry, not just our hospital, is able to get back to a fully staffed position, then we will be glad to go back to taking walk-in patients. I'm sorry, but for now, that service is only available at area emergency clinics.
