Several of our academy students were recently honored at the East/West Conference All-Star Banquet at the Augusta Civic Center. This is an annual event in which all-stars are selected within the conference--a high school athletic division made up of 14 schools--where a scholar athlete is selected from each school, a manager of the year from each school, an unsung hero from each school, and a player of the year (one individual from all schools) for each sport in this division.
Special congratulations to graduating senior Miguel Matos who received the Soccer All-Star & Player of the Year!
Congrats also to:
Chantal Mbonimpa - Soccer & Basketball All-Star
Collin Verrill - Basketball All-Star
Sammy Batista - Soccer All-Star
Lucky Kabeya - Basketball All-Star
Rhett Tyson - Basketball All Star
Camden Chase - Scholar Athlete Award
Jude Robinson - Manager of the Year Award
And to Ron Davis (assistant coach) - the Unsung Hero Award.
We are proud of our students for their achievements!

This past weekend parents, staff, teachers, and church and community members were blessed by Pine Tree Academy students who led the Brunswick Seventh-day Adventist Church worship service on Sabbath and then performed in the Pine Tree Academy Spring Concert on Sunday evening, featuring the elementary choirs, bell ringers, band, and high school choirs.
The PTA Bell Ringers and Small Choir shared their musical praise of God at Brunswick church with beautiful songs of worship before students Collin Verrill and Rhett Tyson delivered their sermon, "Aspects of Faith." During the sermon, both young men shared personal stories of faith and they encouraged listeners with scripture texts focused on faith.
PTA's Spring Concert's theme was love: love of friends, love of neighbors, romantic love, and love of country. It was an inspiring evening of music that showcased the talents of both the students who participated and the music teachers who taught them! Many thanks to Camille Brace, Jenny Trubey, Brendan Krueger, and Bradley Krueger for directing and for their love and joy of music!
A special shout-out to pianist Christina Spurling who accompanied the high school choirs! We thank you and appreciate you for your participation!
There was also a special call out during the concert honoring the graduating seniors who had been in band or choir over the many years. We will miss our seniors and wish them well!
Music and spiritual leadership are pillars at Pine Tree Academy, and each makes a huge difference: building character and intelligence in students' lives and serving as a blessing to the community. This is just another reason why it's important for you to send your children to Pine Tree Academy, where your children can excel and participate in ministry! Visit our website at pinetreeacademy.org for more information to enroll. It's worth a look; it's worth eternity.

A highlight of the year for 7-12 grades is Field Day! Students sign up to compete in the high jump; javelin, discus, and shot put throws, and the boys and girls 100, 400, and 800 yard dashes. What a day of athletic ability, endurance, and fun! Watermelon was on hand to cool down the students, and the day ended in an awards ceremony with ribbons for the best individual and class scores--with the Junior Class winning the coveted Harlow Cup! 🏆
Meanwhile, the elementary school participated in Reading Buddies with older students reading or listening to the younger students, enjoying good books together. And speaking of books, the elementary students also enjoyed attending a library book sale, paying 50 cents or less to buy books of their choice. A great day for all students!
