Paws on the Bridge

Tonite we said goodbye to “Funny Gunny”. This has been one of the hardest things I’ve had to ever do. Normally when you lose a pet you can call me and I’ll take care of everything…which still isn’t the easiest thing to do but when it’s a dog that you have fostered for 8 months and still interact with on a daily basis it feels like my heart is ripped out.
Funny Gunny I’m very sorry your life ended so soon, we did all we could to save you but you were just too tired. Thank you for showing me just as much love as I have for you. You were such a good boy. I will always cherish our last talk even though it was full of tears. Run free big boy. You will be missed. I promise I will fight for change in your honor. I know I’ll see you again one day but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt any less now. We all love you baby boy. Fly with the angels!
